Sample questions

  • English Language (Prelims): Read the passage and answer the question: India's banking sector has undergone a remarkable transformation over the last decade, driven largely by the rapid adoption of digital payment systems. The launch of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in 2016 revolutionised the way ordinary citizens transact, allowing instant bank-to-bank transfers through a simple mobile application. Alongside this technological shift, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana sought to bring unbanked households into the formal financial system by offering zero-balance savings accounts. Together, these initiatives have dramatically reduced the country's dependence on cash and expanded access to credit, insurance, and pension products for millions who previously had no relationship with a bank. Public sector banks, long criticised for sluggish service and mounting bad loans, have also begun embracing core banking technology and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and detect fraud. Despite this progress, challenges remain: rural connectivity gaps, cybersecurity threats, and the need for continued financial literacy mean that the journey toward full financial inclusion is far from complete. Question: According to the passage, in which year was UPI launched?
  • Quantitative Aptitude (Prelims): Find the next number in the series: 7, 13, 25, 49, 97, ?
  • Reasoning Ability (Prelims): Five friends -- P, Q, R, S, and T -- sit in a row facing North, not necessarily in this order. R sits at one of the two ends of the row. S sits immediately to the left of T. Only one person sits between R and T. Q sits immediately to the right of P. P does not sit at either end of the row. Question: Who sits at the leftmost end of the row?
